About the Position
A family in Paris’s 16th arrondissement is looking for a bilingual nanny to care for their 7-year-old child after school three days per week. The ideal candidate is warm, organized, and enjoys creating engaging afternoons that balance homework, play, and routine.
French speakers who are also comfortable communicating in English are encouraged to apply. Or English speakers who are comfortable communicating in French.
The nanny will be supporting an American family of 3 children ages 7-14 in their daily afterschool activities. Responsibilites include school pickup, running errands and helping the children adjust to life in Paris.
Schedule (40 hours per week)
- Monday to Friday: 13:00 PM – 21:00 PM
- OR
- Tuesday to Saturday: 13:00 PM - 21:00 PM
Occasional overnight babysitting may be available with advance notice.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Meet the children after school and accompany them home safely
- Help with homework and reading assignments
- Prepare a healthy afternoon snack
- Plan creative indoor or outdoor activities
- Encourage conversation in both French and English
- Help the children get organized for the next school day
- Keep play areas tidy after activities
What We’re Looking For
- Fluent in both French and English
- Previous childcare experience with school-age children
- Friendly, patient, and dependable
- Comfortable supporting homework and daily routines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
