ECAM LaSalle is seeking a highly motivated and internationally minded English Language Lecturer to join its academic team. The position combines teaching responsibilities at the ECAM LaSalle campus in Lyon, France, with a recurring international assignment at the Franco-Chinese Institute (IFC), a joint educational initiative between Chengdu University of Information Technology (CUIT) and ECAM LaSalle, located in Chengdu, China.
The successful candidate will teach English to engineering and bachelor-level students in Lyon during one academic semester and will be seconded annually to Chengdu for a six-month period to deliver English language courses within the IFC's bachelor programmes. 1. English Language Teaching at ECAM LaSalle (Lyon, France)
Teach English language courses across various ECAM LaSalle programmes, including engineering and bachelor degrees.
Design and deliver engaging lessons that develop students' language proficiency for academic, professional and international contexts.

2. English Language Teaching at the Franco-Chinese Institute (IFC), Chengdu, China
Undertake an annual six-month secondment to the IFC in Chengdu as part of the contractual duties.
Deliver English language courses to Chinese students enrolled in the three bachelor programmes offered within the institute.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of an international and multicultural learning environment.
Support students in developing the linguistic and communication skills required for international higher education and professional careers.
Collaborate with Chinese and French academic teams to ensure educational quality and programme consistency.
Contribute to the academic and intercultural development of the IFC.
Annual Mobility Requirement:
The position includes a mandatory annual six-month secondment to the Franco-Chinese Institute (IFC) in Chengdu, China. This assignment is a contractual component of the role and is fully integrated into the lecturer's annual teaching responsibilities.
Reporting Line:
The English Language Lecturer reports to the Academic Management of ECAM LaSalle and works in close collaboration with the academic leadership of the Franco-Chinese Institute (IFC).
Essential Qualifications
Master's degree or equivalent in English Language Teaching, Applied Linguistics, TESOL, Education, Languages or a related field.
Demonstrated experience teaching English in higher education (at least 3 years)
Excellent command of English (native or near-native proficiency).
Strong pedagogical, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in multicultural and international environments.
Willingness and capacity to undertake annual international assignments in China.
Proven proficiency in remote collaboration tools and digital communication platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, collaborative cloud-based environments), with the ability to effectively interact and coordinate with international academic teams across multiple locations.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP), engineering students or science-related disciplines.
International teaching experience.
Experience working with Chinese or international students.
Knowledge of French and/or Mandarin Chinese would be an advantage.
Familiarity with IELTS Academic exam.
