You are joining our team, which is looking for a Assistant Quant Economiste / Data Scientist, for an internship of 6 months fromAugust 2026.
In collaboration with your tutor, your main tasks will be:

Quantitative modelling and forecasting : Participate in the design, backtesting and deployment of forecasting models (Nowcasting / Forecasting) applied to key macroeconomic indicators, including GDP, inflation and European residential property prices.

Development and programming : Design and optimize codes in Python and R to automate the collection, processing (data cleaning) and analysis of large databases (macroeconomic and financial time series).

Methodological research : Explore and implement innovative methodological approaches (e.g. classical econometric models such as VAR/ARIMA, factor models, or machine learning approaches adapted to time series).

Document monitoring and data analysis : Identify new alternative data sources (high-frequency data, web scraping, etc.) to improve the accuracy of current models.

Valuation of results : Participate in writing synthetic research notes and creating graphical decision support visualizations for team economists and bank clients.

As a BAC +4/5 level student, you are preparing a degree (university, business school or engineering school), with a specialization in Statistics, Econometrics, Data Science or Quantitative Finance.
You are proficient in Python (pandas, scikit-learn) and/or R for modeling.
You have a solid foundation in time series econometrics (ML is a plus).
You can easily handle Bloomberg, Macrobond, Datastream or Eurostat databases.
You are familiar with the Office Pack.
You are autonomous, rigorous, punctual and proactive.
You have excellent communication skills and a taste for teamwork on projects.
And last but not least, you are perfectly fluent in English.
