The Bilingual International School of Paris is seeking a passionate, energetic, and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our dynamic international team. This is a full-time position , fixed term contract (1 month possibly longer) to cover for a sick leave ,working with children aged 3–5 in a bilingual French-English environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
- Teach in a structured classroom environment with a rich established curriculum that must be followed and implemented with fidelity
- Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that foster emotional, social, and academic development
- Collaborate closely with the French partner teacher to ensure cohesion in planning, classroom management, and communication with families
- Support literacy development, including phonological awareness, early reading skills, storytelling, and vocabulary building
- Take an active role in classroom events and whole-school celebrations such as Halloween, Saint Patrick’s Day, Winter Shows, and other cultural activities
- Participate in Wednesday Club and three holiday camps per year (October, February, April — no summer camps)
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Child Development, or an equivalent qualification
- Hands-on classroom experience in a preschool or early years setting
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- High energy, creativity, and initiative
- Adaptability, warmth, and a genuine love of early childhood learning
- Experience in bilingual or international schools is an asset
Working Conditions
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:15–16:45
- Small and supportive team environment
- Salary based on qualifications and experience
- Start date: September 2026
- End Date : October 2026
- Must already hold full legal right to work in France (the school does not arrange visas or autorisation de travail)
