What you learned
There are many things in life that happens for a reason. It is important to enjoy what you are doing and yet give back to the society in the best way possible. Life will be tough and there will be challenges faced every now and then but if you maintain the right attitude and remain positive, you will be able to overcome all hurdles.

Didn't care about personal needs if a deal would get in the way
Didn't care about personal needs if a deal would get in the way. Cared more about putting in hours to bill for deal than the efficiency of the work or where and how the work was done.
The overall skillet of the employees was amazing and the end product was very good, but thought we were told to work hard instead of smart.
They also wouldn't let me leave at Midnight one night in the dead of winter to let my wife in the house as she had locked herself out. I was going to return to work right afterwards, but they couldn't spare the 30 minute absence.
Points positifsHighly intelligent people
Points négatifsNot employee focused

Solid stable workplace with set promotion structure
KPMG is a good place to work where you are surrounded by smart people. You will learn a lot and get exposure to big clients. Sometimes on bigger engagements you may get lost though as you may only be on 1 workstream and not see the bigger picture of the entire engagement
Points positifsGood pay, good environment, job security
Points négatifsLong hours, little say on projects

Decent workplace contingent on patronage
In the consulting practice, especially on the transactions side, hours are long and travel is heavy. Advancement is almost entirely predicated upon finding the right senior sponsor to facilitate your promotions. If you can find that, you will be well positioned to succeed
Points positifsTravel points
Points négatifsTravel

Was a diverse work place. Enjoyed most of my engagements.
I traveled weekly from Monday thru Thursday. Workdays were 10 to 12 hours a day. Most of the people I worked were smart and energetic. Management delivered one message but most of the engagement managers did not follow them in regards to billable hours.

Great organization for new professionals
Experience hires do not fit well into the organization advancement model. It is a great place to work once to assimilate into the culture. Benefits and work/life balance are excellent for new parents and those caring for others.
