Great opportunities to advance, no work-life balance whatsoever
If you work in Advisory chances are you travel. And travel usually means you do it Monday through Thursday every week. There are nice perks from that as you get to keep your points from hotel and airline rewards programs. But if you have a life at home you can only live it on the weekends.
That said, it is a great firm to advance year to year. I learned new skills and received a reasonable pay increase every year. Some years it was very generous.
The structure is helpful for career advancement. You have an internal manager who is responsible for making sure you stay utilized and advocating for your advancement. Day to day you'd report to a different manager on your engagement. If you are interested in trying something different you network around the firm and work with your internal manager to find the kind of project that suits your professional goals.

Proper professional service environment
A good place for anyone who wants to start a career in management consulting. A lot would be learnt working for different companies in different sectors under different units. You get to travel all around the country whilst doing this. It can be very stressful and demanding but its worth the experience and the learning.
Your career is never the same if you work with them. Your skill sets will definitely sky rocket as a results of the many projects you would have to handle.
Points positifsFree lunch, profit sharing, a learning environment, open door policy
Points négatifsaverage pay, little WLB

Productive and high pace to work, a great company to work for.
You get to work on exciting projects with prospects of travelling around the globe. People are nice and you can learn on the job with the help of those people. I worked with a very friendly team and had a very professional work culture.
Although the average working hours is 45 hours a week but during peak season it goes up to 75 hours a week.
Points positifsFlexibility at work, learning opportunities, company get togethers
Points négatifsRelatively low compensation (especially bonuses). Too much travel may lead to office-sickness

run-of-the-mill consulting with very good perks
One of the gripes I have with my new group in Data Analytics is that as a Consultant there are no clear scope of performance measurement. As a consultant you may hop on a project and do it all... sell, project manage, analytics, and develop. Come time for performance review, I am the same in leadership's eye as the next Consultant whom may just sell and project manage.
The perks are good and salary is average-to-low relative to other consulting firms.
Points positifsCorporate perks

Smoke and mirrors
Working in the advisory section of this firm is ridiculous. Many non industry personnel who know nothing about what they claim to be consulting on projects with clients. It’s all about favoritism and backstabbing of people who are not “yes men,” and the firm allows managers and principals to discriminate against LGBT employees.
Points positifsNone
Points négatifsTerrible environment

Dynamic environment
The working culture is dynamic and rapidly changes. Although you may have a reporting manager/director you are free to speak and work on various projects (provided that there are projects to be on and the engagement manager wants you on those projects).
Management is open to discussion and ideas regardless of position.

Good company and consulting experience
Great place to get consulting experience with various clients. Training is important, as they require their consultants to attend a week long training in Florida each year to fulfill CPE credit requirements
Points positifsDiversity of work, pay, culture, diversity
Points négatifsmanagement can be selfish, self-seeking

Productive and fun place to work.
I enjoyed the group of people that I worked as well as the diversity within the culture. The travel perks were probably one of the most enjoyable but now that I have a family, I don't like the travel aspect as much.
Points négatifsManagement is not good with promoting members of their team
