Great company, can be difficult for experienced hires if you're entering a manager-top-heavy unit
I am unhappy in my unit, so it influences my review. I have developed great skills, but have not been given the autonomy or professional opportunities consistent with my previous experience and background. I would advise people applying to smaller units to ask about the unit makeup in terms of job level--if you'd be working for a team that is mostly managers, chances of promotion are slimmer and there may be a unit culture in which you are discouraged from acting autonomously. Additionally, I would ask the screener/recruiter about attrition rates within the unit--my unit has a history of high attrition in my role.
