The ten weeks I spent working for KPMG were extremely fulfilling. It was my first experience in the accounting sector. It enabled me to discover this field and learn more about the reality of an accountant's job.
Productive, learning and motivating workplace to be.

Overall good organization for learning and character building
KPMG is one of Big4 Audit Firm of the World . I am associate with KPMG Pakistan working as an intern in the Audit Department. I have been sent to three different companies where I have been assigned to different assignments . I have to mange my work and have to complete my assign task in given amount of time . The hardest part of job is some times time is short and have to complete the work due to which we have to work late. My co workers are cooperative and I have good relationship with each one of them. The most enoyable part of job is as an auditor have to work on different functions with in the organizations so I learn alot and have work on complex part of different companies.
Points positifspros are meeting fifferent people, travelling and sometimes free lunches
Points négatifshave to work late sometimes dont able to get break as should be given
A typical day at work involved meeting my supervisor, and receiving my assignment for the day which usually involved research work, or in some cases, number crunching, and preparing pitches to present to my supervisor.
I learnt how to effectively analyze a company by looking at it's financials, and by advanced research techniques, preparing a cohesive and elaborate presentation which would then be used as a pitch.
The workplace culture is very endearing, and the supervisors follow a paternalistic approach to management here.
The hardest part of the job for me personally was dealing with the number crunching as numbers isn't my strongest area.
The most enjoyable area of the job was preparing pitches for clients, and my supervisors.
Points positifsFree lunches, and great work place environment
these company above offer great professional business atmosphere
a typical day at work start with a general meeting with the supervisor about the daily task and any project we have not finish. i have learn through all the task to work under pressure and work efficiently through any task given. the management is great because the supervisor take time to hear you out and work with you at your best pace. the workplace culture is highly business and equal friendly. the hardest part of th job might be the early hours but it manageable when you apply a good schedule. the most enjoyable part of work is learning efficient skills to preform any task which place you at the highest efficacy to work very well.
I worked at KPMG during the summer of 2017 as a BPG Intern, along with several other NYC students coming from different boroughs and schools. From the moment I walked into the office, I could tell what a collaborative environment I was in. Everyone is willing to stop and lend a helping hand when needed. You are always kept busy; there is always something to do. The best part of the job is being able to work collaboratively with others, whether an assignment/project or a volunteer opportunity. Through KPMG, I learned a lot about networking as well as the corporate world and the finance industry. It was a great experience and I would definitely go back if I had the chance.
KPMG is a nice company to work with. I don't know how is it worldwide, but in my country all the big 4 pay small salaries so compensation level is rather low and I would say that mostly you have to work extrahours that are mostly not paid in consultancy.
That is all about minuses.
I've really enjoyed working for this company - I had really nice team that helped when I had some difficulties. I learnt a lot of useful things during my short internship in all the fields connected to the work of my department. The most I liked is to develop solutions that later will be implemented in companies to improve their efficiency.
Points positifsExperince, satisfation, nice team, brand, training
A very workaholic working environment where we need to meet datelines
A very stressful working environment where we need to meet the date lines of each customers.
I learned how to do audit, check account and do work planning.
Management - superior give full explanations on task assigned to the trainees.
Everybody paid full concentrations on the works.
Hardest part of the job where you need to stay back until late night in order to complete the job before dateline.
Enjoyable part is when you get to know different people and different types of companies when you do audit work.
Typical day at work is 9-10h, overtime very common.
I learned to manage my time and what accounting and audit is all about.
Management is overburdened, they are always tired and occupied.
Culture is great, people are helpful and coffebreak are anjoyable.
The hardest part of the job is coping with time pressure, it is also essential, because older unfinished files/projects can bog you down considerably on your current work and the "snowball effect" risk is significant.
The most enjoyable part of the job is closing a file and the payday.
a great experience having working with one of the big four firm

- Supportive, helpful, nice and i had really good time to work with them
- Very late sittings and come early in the morning
- You can put forward your ideas and the dinners allowance
It was a brilliant opportunity to gain my fist professional experience at the real audit engagements and launch my career with one of the most world known names in audit, tax and advisory. My summer internship at KPMG helped me gain relevant experience to my university studies and improved my customer service and communication skills. As a first touch with the actual working environment, I learned how to prepare high-quality financial statements and perform some auditing collaborating with my colleagues in that department to complete the tasks.
