Uncertain as business was up for sale
KPMG Botswana took over the KFC business as it was in liquidation. They approached me to get the business back on track after the previous owner was financially ruining the business. Met with my management team weekly to discuss targets for the week. We had to micro manage the business. Negotiate with suppliers and contractors to ensure new stores are built, remodel one store and stock is received. Once the previous owners left the culture changed for the positive. Hardest part of the job was to get the sales back on track and then focus on profitability. Although a tremendous challenge, I enjoyed the job and the challenges. We could celebrate on a monthly basis as sales started to pick up and hit target.
