Challenging tasks. Wide range of exposure. Diverse workforce.
A typical day at work starts with an assessment of the target for the day. Tasks are allocated to the team member(s). Client meetings are organised and updates are given to the senior management about the progress of work done. At KPMG, I worked on developing and implementing business improvement strategies, conducting risk assessments and comprehensive financial and operational process reviews to enhance performance. I have gained widespread industry exposure, financial and operational knowledge of companies ranging from start – up companies to Fortune 500 companies. My rich experience in providing recommendations to large corporates on enhancing operational efficiency and profitability in business processes will prove to be valuable for any firm. Management levels vary based on the complexity of the assignment. I have had co-workers from varied background and having rich experience. Hardest part of the job is to stretch one's capabilities and potential to complete the tasks in a short period of time. The job has to get done no matter what. The most enjoyable part of the job is the wide-ranging exposure to different industries and interactions with senior management of clients.
Points positifsgreat exposure. different types of assignments. opportunity to travel.
Points négatifsdifficult to manage personal life.

People are connected globally and have an excellent collaborative relationship
On a typical day, we start of by helping the countries within the region who have issues with regional training as well as those who experience technical issues related to their local training arrangements. We also need to coordinate regional training by carrying discussion with training leads, country training teams and even vendors and suppliers that provide training essentials such as venue and printing services. Aside to that, we assist facilitators on the do's and don'ts of virtual classroom training and manage all communication between the facilitators and attendees. Aside to that, we are also responsible in collecting data from the region on the number of attendees, the type of training preferred and the list of facilitators available which is used for annual training calendar preparation and for the board to review the progress of regional training.
Points positifsTalks on social issues, recreational activities, travel options, Inter Department Transfer options
Points négatifsOdd working hours due to collaboration with global counterparts

Overall a good company, but personally had a bad experience
I think one's experience at the organisation totally depends on the team one is plotted to. I was part of a team that worked long hours and on weekends. There were members from other teams taking weekends off and very good work-life balance.
Apart from work-life balance, I did not have a very good experience with the local management. I got insulted from my superior (sometimes even at a personal level) irrespective of my quality of work at least once a week on an average. The more disappointing part was that I did not get any support from the local HR team, and I only became a scapegoat at their hands. I could not see the local HR having any authority in this regard; they were under constant pressure from the managers.
Although it was not the best experience for me at KPMG, I would definitely recommend the company to someone because as an organisation, it has a very good work culture and a heeding top management.

FAKE FAKE FAKE PROMISER
Initialy when I joined, I was all excited as it was my first job and what an opportunity to be associated with a Big4...But trust me its not as good as i thought or people think....this review is also based on opinions which my peers & colleagues also had about this place....u will be decieved with fake promises throughout your stint here and you will be paid less than the security guard at the gate of the office...I am a MBA they hire u as trainee then if you are MBA they will confirm u as a Executive and trainee period will be 6months. However they confirmed me after 9months saying new rule has come that trainee period will be for 9months going forward which was lie i know and they confirmed me as a analyst and reason for that they gave was i dont have the Executive attitude...and nobody on this earth knows wat that Executive attitude is...FAKE FAKE FAKE Promises u will ruin ur careers if u start it here

Fun workspace ideal to improve your management skills
KPMG is a firm with highly recognized prestige all over the world. I worked there for a period of 2 years. KPMG offered me the possibility to work in a wide range of different projects on information technologies. For instance, KPMG is currently struggling to become a reference in data security advisory and many companies rely on KPMG to develop the projects that concern this field. I was personally involved in several projects aiming to evaluate possible risks related to data security and designing its solution plan. Although I didn’t intend to focus my studies in this area, this job allowed me to have contact with real companies and their diverse initiatives.

Productive and fun workplace
I enjoyed my time at KPMG, in this particular role I managed my own team who completed risk management duties with all levels of staff and my role was to oversee that the process and sign offs were ignited at appropriate times. A new Risk Management tool was rolled out and i had the responsibility of training and presenting to all levels of staff to ensure that my departments were up to speed with the toolkit.
Furthermore my additional duties were to line manage my team, complete annual appraisals and ensure issues with all levels of staff were dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
Points positifsFun place to work, appreciated in my role
Points négatifsNot having enough hours of the day to complete duties

Excellent work atmosphere. Gives a variety of jobs to work on. Fantastic learning experience. Dynamic.
The advisory field of the organization is pretty dynamic and works as per the client requirement. Thus, every working day is different and one gets an opportunity to work with different people (of different ranks) and hence have gathered various points from each of them. The co-workers are very friendly and extremely helpful.
Points positifsDynamic environment, various social events arranged at regular intervals
Points négatifsSome timed becomes difficult to cope with the working pressures, becomes difficult to maintain work life balance

KPMG Review
KPMG is one of the top 4 Auditing Firms in the world. I've learned the professionalism in terms of its most aspects weather how to meet clients, how to negotiate with partners and suppliers, how to plan and organize your day.
I've received many academic trainings certified by Harvard Online University which helped me to do my work at the best way.
Learning a lot from its Standard added many skills and improved my knowledge.
Being a multi-task person, is not a quit easy, however with the right planing and organizational skills, it will always be possible just like what I have been doing in KPMG.

Great place to learn and build up your career. The office did have a ping pong table and a foosball tabel.
KPMG is a very well know organisation around the world and is even rated as one of the best places to work in. I was in the Administration Department and learnt everything possible about the department, my colleagues were extremely friendly and were always ready to help. The management was great and were always ready to help out when there was a problem. To be honest i really didn't see or feel anything difficult or hard about the job or working in KPMG.
