Excellent place to start a career
If you are ambitious and driven to put in hardwork to get to the top, then KPMG is for you. There are no short cuts or very little luck in career progression. The organizational structure/system is designed such that as a new entrant you know what to expect in terms of career growth. Ultimately, the long hours grow on some persons and they leave to the industry. For those who stay, they take on higher levels in the organization and are either head hunted to much bigger jobs in the industry or make the much coveted Partnership. Starting a career or moving to a big four like KPMG mid career means you will end up retiring in a better position than one who stays in the industry on average. I'm speaking from my experience, having worked in the industry and KPMG.
Points positifsExcellent career growth opportunites as you know what to expect in your career progression
Points négatifsLower pay compared to the industry at pre-manager job levels

Highly motivating and learning Environment
As i worked in Agile project , my day used to start with stand up meetings with UAT team followed by Development team so as to mark up the daily progress on the system development.
I leaned to coordinate, plan and negotiation with development and stakeholders to bring efficiency in the process.

Consulting
As an strategy analyst at KPMG, India, the learning was exceptional. The role focused on interacting with clients of e-commerce and fin-tech start ups.
During my tenure, I have learnt and designed financial, revenue and growth, business plans. It was indeed a great team, a culture of learning from one and other was built.

Productive and fun workplace
KPMG was part of internship and it gave a lot of exposure to different aspects of auditing, taxation and also advisory sectors..My major concentration was on Advisory - verifications. The management was to monotonous at times as we were even asked to work on weekends..
Points négatifsLong hours

Average Experience
KPMG is brilliant for flexible working, promoting females in the work place and some very interesting work. However, in terms of career progression, available routes for a Business Analyst to follow were not always clear. This made it very difficult to visualize a future with the company.

Good company but that depends on the management team you report into
Generally a good company but the management team I reported into was flaky and I couldn't trust them. I was a contractor there and one evening they called my recruiter and cancelled my contract with out a direct word to me.
