Productive day with almost impossible deadlines to meet.
A typical day at work starts 8:30 a.m and end 4:30 p.m . The contract states 4:30 p.m however this closing period is rare, due to the tight deadline demands for financial statements review by our clients.
At KPMG I have learnt a lot from dealing with different clients personalities to gaining competent knowledge to complete an audit.
The management structure is really good. The managers are really organized but demanding. They often do what ever it take to get the job completed efficiently from staying late to coming in an hour early.
I think KPMG Jamaica as the most productive and helpful worker in the world. We try to make the best out of each day and everyone's effort is awarded. Auditing is team work and at KPMG every individual is respected from the secretaries to partners.
My hardest times at KPMG to be honest is staying overtime. From getting to work at 8:30 a.m to leaving at 11:00pm to arrive at 8:30 a.m the next day again.
The most enjoyable parts of my job the opportunity presented to meet new people and explore different industries such a manufacturing and financial institutions.
