Avis généraux sur l'entreprise KPMG (New Delhi, Delhi)

Productive and fun workplace
A typical day at work involved meeting my supervisor, and receiving my assignment for the day which usually involved research work, or in some cases, number crunching, and preparing pitches to present to my supervisor.
I learnt how to effectively analyze a company by looking at it's financials, and by advanced research techniques, preparing a cohesive and elaborate presentation which would then be used as a pitch.
The workplace culture is very endearing, and the supervisors follow a paternalistic approach to management here.
The hardest part of the job for me personally was dealing with the number crunching as numbers isn't my strongest area.
The most enjoyable area of the job was preparing pitches for clients, and my supervisors.
Points positifsFree lunches, and great work place environment
Points négatifsLong hours

Provides great exposure with ample opportunities to learn and grow with satisfactory compensation. May have to compromise on work-life balance
My time at KPMG has been extremely enriching allowing me to work with leaders in the industry and the government.
I was involved in meeting clients on a regular basis and then quickly working on deliverables discussed in those meetings.
The management is fair in recognising the efforts you put in and you get rewarded and compensated accordingly.
The atmosphere may leave you stressed out at times but will never be boring. You get to travel a lot, so you'll enjoy it if you like travelling.

A great place to learn and grow as a profession
I have worked across the valuation and M&A advisory. KPMG provided a very good platform for learning and an opportunity to work across different teams to gain valuable exposure.
Valuation Projects include: Fairness Opinion, Purchase Price Allocation (PPA), Impairment testing and other asset valuation projects.
M&A Advisory Projects include: Buyer and target screening, profiles, complete pitch packs and other pre-M&A research.
Points positifsGreat exposure and learning
Points négatifsLack of transparency

overworked and underpaid
US and European offices outsource their work to India because it's cheap. Deadlines are mostly halved. So we have to constantly work on the weekends, without getting overtime pay. The bosses never appreciate the time and effort you put into work.
So the only way to get promoted is to crush office politics.
:)
Points positifsGives you a new appreciation for normal life.
Points négatifsOffice politics, Favoritism

A great place and set of people to work with. Very open culture, one can walk upto a partner and speak his mind. Work quality and exposure is excellent. Highly motivated and passionate people one wouldn't find there.
