Great pay!!!! For someone who don't want a family!
Worked at KCMO office for 12 years, the work hours aren't good, the benefits are horrible, the pay is awesome! They are a propaganda/brainwashing company that constantly tells employees lies!
If you ever plan on having a family or husband this is not the place to be! I recently quit and applied at another job doing same work, ex let more pay, and better management!!!!
DONT BELIEVE THE PROPAGANDA OR THE BRAINWASHING!!!!

Heavy Workloads, Opportunities mainly for Practice people not Operations
Typical day is trying to get all your work done and manage clients evenly. Prioritization is a must due to heavy workloads. The people are nice. Overall fairness across practices needs to be better, especially with the operations/administration groups. Work/life balance could use improvement with flexible hours and working from home some days if needed.

Was a diverse work place. Enjoyed most of my engagements.
I traveled weekly from Monday thru Thursday. Workdays were 10 to 12 hours a day. Most of the people I worked were smart and energetic. Management delivered one message but most of the engagement managers did not follow them in regards to billable hours.

KPMG provides great tools to succeed in your career and allows you to be surrounded by some of the smartest people in the accounting industry. It was a great foundation to my career.

Overall was happy
It is a public accounting firm, so there is inherent dissatisfaction. Beyond that, KPMG was a great place to work. I enjoyed my coworkers and a good majority of management.

There was a lot of work and great training opportunities with this company. However, not an ideal job if you have a family.
