Good place to work
A good place to work. The culture here is to bring you in and get you up to speed as quickly as possible to promote yearly. Although grace is given, it is important to take good notes on tasks and processes. You will stick out like a soar thumb if you keep making the same mistakes and ask repetitive questions. Stay plugged in to your A2 that you are assigned to and ask questions for anything you dont understand immediately. Be conscious of your team members time. Also, make sure you bring a good work ethic and set up weekly check ins with your in charge. Enjoyed it but wasn’t for me in the long run
Points positifsPay, free lunch and dinner (busy season), growth potential, coaching
Points négatifsBusy season stress( we all know this)

Multitasking, Multicultural, Self-starter, Billingual
Big 4 CPA (CPA obtained in Mexico) professional with extensive international experience. Strong experiences auditing financial statements in accordance with IFRS, USA GAAP and MEX GAAP. Excels at reviewing accounting processes and internal controls to identify potential process improvements; including focusing on IT Systems. Self-starter who can work independently and has the motivation required to handle and meet deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously.

Interaction with broad range of professionals in a fast-past, friendly, professional and fun work environment.
Very broad range of responsibilities including team leader, supervisor and daily interaction with all levels of professionals (both internal and external). I am self-motivated, professional and enjoy working with others in helping them to achieve their goals. Currently managing 16 support staff and responsible for two office locations (Detroit, MI and Grand Rapids, MI)

Good place to build career
KPMG is a decent place to build your career either through traditional auditing route or advisory. I have progressed fairly quickly through deal advisory from manager to lead director on deals in approximately 3 years.
The Company says it strives for work life balance however I haven't seen it in my practice. For instance it is not uncommon to move vacation time as it fits business needs.
Points positifscareer progression

Competitive and driven work environment
KPMG is a great place to work. In the audit department there is a variety of clients and industries that you can get exposed to. Additionally, as you work with different teams you develop skills attributes (both good and bad) from different management. Plenty of opportunities for advancement, relocation and career paths.

Not for me
While I enjoyed the pay, vacation time, and challenging work; co-workers and management were clicky (like high school). New people are treated like untrusting nobodys. Until you prove yourself, you will not have work. When you don't have work, you get in trouble with management.
Points positifs25 vacation days per year, challenging work
Points négatifslong hours, management, other employees

Political
Sneaky and political. They act like it's a great place to work, but it's really not. Just as bad as the other Big 4. Sneaky people lie to your face and talk about you behind closed doors. They don't pay as well as the others so don't waste your time.
Points positifssome people are smart
Points négatifsmore than I can list
