Avis généraux sur l'entreprise KPMG (Bengaluru, Karnataka)
Lead by example
In a typical day in my last position I fulfilled management tasks of opening and closing the facility, as well as overseeing a staff of seven individuals. Throughout the day I completed various administrative duties as well, including answering phones, drafting documents and emails, filing and greeting customers. I also provided strong customer service.
My last job was an excellent learning opportunity and I developed my skills and experience in numerous different ways. While I already had strong IT skills, I didn’t have any previous experience of Microsoft Access. When my employer introduced a new order management system which used Access they gave me the opportunity to undertake additional training so as to be able to work effectively with this. I was then able to put this training into practice on a day-to-day basis and I am now extremely adept at using the package.
Points négatifsam ready to extend my business hours if process or work required
FAKE FAKE FAKE PROMISER
Initialy when I joined, I was all excited as it was my first job and what an opportunity to be associated with a Big4...But trust me its not as good as i thought or people think....this review is also based on opinions which my peers & colleagues also had about this place....u will be decieved with fake promises throughout your stint here and you will be paid less than the security guard at the gate of the office...I am a MBA they hire u as trainee then if you are MBA they will confirm u as a Executive and trainee period will be 6months. However they confirmed me after 9months saying new rule has come that trainee period will be for 9months going forward which was lie i know and they confirmed me as a analyst and reason for that they gave was i dont have the Executive attitude...and nobody on this earth knows wat that Executive attitude is...FAKE FAKE FAKE Promises u will ruin ur careers if u start it here

Points négatifstoo many to write i have explained in review
Smart way to assess controls
KPMG is the smart place to learn the art and management of audit controls and governance framework for risk management. I got to learn a lot in the space from handling tough customers, managing programs for internal controls for SOX, and Bank controls, to developing a team of expert assessors to drive the programs all by themselves with limited support from leadership.
It was a great experience in leading the audit programs and keen to build more depth and value in audit leadership.
Looking forward to organizations for allowing to deliver my best for greater business value and customer satisfaction.
Points positifsLots of facilities including lunch and sports in premises, good projects and challenging clients
Points négatifsConsistent long hours for delivery, lack of flexibility to WFH
challenging and fun place
A day in KPMG would always start with a TO DO LIST given by our seniors with a smiling face and a coffee in their hand.First half of the day would pass in planning , prioritizing and gathering information and second half completing the work assigned to you with little extra working hours.
I have learned to be accountable, responsible and flexible.
The management was supportive and very motivating which helped me as a fresher to understand and face the challenges.
The hardest part was long working hours and travelling as my profile was a client facing job profile.
The most enjoyable part was getting to know lot of people and the activities conducted by HR on different occasions.
Points positifsgood learning experience as a fresher
Points négatifsvery long working hours and lot of pressure
Challenging and Competitive Environment
A day at KPMG begins with few initial trackers completed for admin stuff related to my team members to understand staff's availability. Post which completing our own allocated work and communicating effectively with onshore colleague and challenging them as and when required in terms of procedures being performed. I was able to apply accounting knowledge accumulated through ACCA at my regular day of job such as IFRS 9, 15 and 16. Management is always understanding of the issues that staff might be dealing with and are co-operating. Best thing about the job were the social activities in place to bring the entire team together which helps us to work in a more efective and efficient manner.

Productive and supportive culture
It was good experience, with an interesting division of transfer pricing in tax , it was good to learn from my colleagues it shaped me with looking things practically and with the supportive management and team it never felt the age differences within us and helped me learn new things from them. I guess the hardest part of the job was the appeal from the Tribunal we had to look through the old reports of our clients which was really hard and the most enjoyable part was the interacting or having a meet with our client because that helped us generate more business.
Points positifsculture and good Colleagues
Points négatifslong hours
Productive and Fun in working
I did have a wonderful team, an early shift starting at 7 made us all more productive at work.
I had a lot to learn, starting from software asset analysis to handling a team. I did the part of QAing the team's work to ensure the team has delivered the more than expectation. Was always keen to learn new things and methods.
The team did a wonderful job of analysis, people were really much energetic and genius indeed.
The hardest part was to recruit the people needed for the team and solving any of the team member personal issues, long breaks, and QA.
Points positifsGood to work with big4, with multiple responsibility
